January 15, 2008 - SustainableDestination.org is launched! The main goal of this site is to spur discussion on the many forms of sustainable tourism and how to achieve low impact goals from the perspectives of the developer (and planner) as well as the traveller. Both large scale and small scale tourism practices will be discussed here, with hope that the site can be useful for a variety of visitors. I would like to encourage the submission of links and articles to help with the growth of the site - contact email and form can be found HERE. I am continually learning more about this important realm of sustainability, and this is largely due to input from others involved and interested in sustainable tourism. The more input I receive, the more useful the site will become. Lastly, please email any design problems you may notice when navigating through the site (e.g. Unaligned tables, distorted images, etc), I have tried to design the site to be compatible with a few different browsers (and versions) but issues probably remain.
